Angel Di Maria keen on leaving Real Madrid this summer

Real Madrid midfielder Angel Di Maria has made the decision to leave Bernabeu at the end of the season. The Argetine, who would not fail to find suitors, would cost €40 million.

Di Maria wants to slam the door on Real Madrid. While Madrid have finally decided not to punish the the Argentine for the gesture he made few weeks ago when being subbed off against Celta Vigo, the hierarchy will always consider his departure. In fact, Di Maria’s position at Madrid is at risk after Gareth Bale finding his feet at Bernabeu.

Kick Socca sources in Spain have learned that Di Maria is open to offers and would consider a summer move away from Madrid. While Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco have showed interest, Real Madrid has set an asking price of €40 million. But the Los Blancos are not desperate to let the midfielder depart in summer after being satisfied with Di Maria’s recent performances.

Di Maria recently defended his situation at Madrid insisting that the media speculations on his departure are false.

“My coach is on my side, he still has confidence in me. I am very quiet. The press has me in sight because I do not like talking, I prefer to play, show what I’m worth in the field. Higuain quietly marked 20 goals per season and all seasons, they said he was leaving. It seems that the press always wants you to leave Real Madrid,” said the Argentine.

Adnan Januzaj invited to play for Kosovo in friendly match

Kosovo have asked Manchester United winger Adnan Januzaj to make his international debut in a friendly against Haiti on 5 March.

Januzaj, 18, could represent Albania, Belgium, Turkey, Serbia and, potentially in the future, England.

If Januzaj played for Kosovo, he would not jeopardise his future choices as only competitive games prevent a player from representing another nation.

"The invitation is symbolic," the Balkan country's federation (FKK) said.

Fifa ruled last month that Kosovo, which is still not a United Nations member, may play friendlies against other nations excluding those which emerged from the former Yugoslavia.

However, they will not be allowed to display national symbols or play their national anthem and the game will not count as an official international match. (BBC)

Man City better than Man Utd - Manuel Pellegrini

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says his side have become the dominant force in the city this season, as they prepare to take on Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League.

The Chilean acknowledged Manchester United's record, but said City's results in the present campaign meant they had overtaken their rivals.

"If we only consider this season, there is just one club in Manchester and it is ours," he said. "But you cannot forget what United have done."

He added: "We are aiming to keep growing by winning many trophies - not just national but international trophies."

Wayne Rooney poised to sign new Utd deal

Wayne Rooney is expected to sign a new five-and-a-half year contract with Manchester United in the next 48 to 72 hours.
Rooney's future has been up in the air ever since Chealsea attempted to prise the 28-year-old away from Old Trafford last summer.
Rooney's current deal is due to expire at the end of next season, but Press Association Sport understands negotiations over a new contract are at an advanced stage.
It is understood that Rooney has almost agreed in principle to extend his contract until the end of the 2018-19 season.
That deal could be signed as early as Wednesday or Thursday.
Rooney is understood to be extremely happy at Old Trafford despite Chelsea's interest in him and United's current predicament.
The reigning champions look unlikely to qualify for the Champions League this year for the first time since the 1995-96 season.
David Moyes' side currently sit 11 points adrift of the top four in seventh position with just 12 matches remaining.
But despite the club's current form, Rooney has enjoyed working under Moyes, with whom he used to work at Everton, and the England striker is said to be content that better times lie ahead.
It is also understood that Rooney could replace the departing Nemanja Vidic as United skipper at the end of the current campaign.
Rooney recently spoke of his desire to break Sir Bobby Charlton's record of 249 goals for United. The England striker's current tally stands at 208.
"It is a great aim for myself to try and get Sir Bobby's record, both at club and international level,' Rooney told BBC's Football Focus.
"It is something which I would like to do. If I can do that I would be really proud because it has stood for a long time."

Van Nistelrooy: Red Devils must sign Cavani or Falcao to win back the Premier League
Former Manchester united striker Ruud van Nistelrooy believes the Ligue 1 superstars are crucial if the Red Devils are to rise back to the top of the Premier League next season.
Manchester United are in a period of reflection over their stuttering season while in Dubai, and former striker Ruud van Nistelrooy says he knows just what is needed to catapult the team back up to the top next season.
The former Old Trafford hero argues that another free-scoring striker is needed as a difference maker, despite the duo of Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney.
Van Nistelrooy feels the recently linked Edinson Cavani would be just the man, as would Colombian forward Falcao.
He told
Le 10 Sport: "Cavani? I think he is a very good player. In my view, he can be a good signing, but he has also recently signed for a big team. He will be expensive. But there is also Falcao, he may be an option for a pure number 9, to score goals.
"I think that Van Persie and Rooney, David Moyes needs more than just one big scorer in his team. (...) I think if you sign a good finisher, it can give you 20, 30 goals in the season and it helps to be in the top of the Premier League."
